研究方向为基于公众情绪及语义分割特征进行城市空间视觉质量研究，尝试运用大数据及多种深度学习模型进行探索。与日本千叶大学Katsunori Furuya教授实验室、夏宜平教授团队保持紧密交流。因疫情原因线上进行丹麦哥本哈根大学（2021）交流，完成Advanced Social Data Science 、Applied Machine Learning 、Health Design等课程。
Xuan Zhang is a Ph.D. student majoring in Architecture at College of Civil Engineering and Architecture ,Zhejiang University(ZJU). She received a Bachelor’s degree from ZJU and minored in the Public Administration Program of Chu Kochen Honors College. She graduated from Hangzhou No.2 High School.
She has been awarded the Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship, ZJU Outstanding Student and cadres and other honors. She participated in the Qian jiang Century City landscape improvement project, Zhejiang Garden of Beijing EXPO, the Qing shan Lake project, etc.
She has rich experience in organization work and project practice. In 2017, her “Warm Winter” project won the ZJU “Charity Project Scholarship”. In 2018, she served as the leader of the volunteer team of the 5th World Internet Conference and was awarded the "Outstanding Volunteer" and also served as a member of the director team of the Youth Quality Development Center of ZJU. In 2019, her team were awarded the “Excellence Award” of the 6th Chinese Tea Olympic Games. In 2020, she led the venture project as a core member and won the first prize in the 12th ZJU Student Entrepreneurship Competition.
She visited the University of Manchester in the UK (2017), University of Bucharest in Romania (2018), National University of Singapore (2018), Chiba University in Japan (2019), North Carolina State University in the US (2019). She has been to more than 10 countries and can speak fluent English and basic Japanese and Italian.
Her current research focuses on the visual quality of urban space based on public sentiment and urban semantic segmentation characteristics, using big data and deep learning models. She keeps close communication with Professor Katsunori Furuya's lab(Chiba University, Japan)and Professor Yiping Xia's team(ZJU). Due to the epidemic, she finished the exchange at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark(2021)online and completed courses such as Advanced Social Data Science, Applied Machine Learning, and Health Design.
