Yisong Peng is a Ph.D. student study in Land Resource Management at the School of Public Affairs, Zhejiang University. He received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from the China University of Geosciences（Beijing） and his Master of Arts degree from the University of Sheffield.
In 2011, he entered the China University of Geosciences（Beijing） study in Land Resource Management. During that time, he was the Minister of the Student Affairs of the Student Union and the Minister of the Projects Department of the Association of Societies. He was awarded the title of Academic Scholarship and Excellent Cadre. In 2014, He won the Silver Award of the Beijing “Creating Youth” College Student Entrepreneurship Competition. In 2015, he won the second prize of the non-professional group of the 6th Beijing Higher Education Surveying and Mapping Practice Innovation Competition. In 2015, he entered the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom for a master's degree in Town and Regional Planning. In 2016, he worked as an intern in the Department of City Management in City of York Council for one month. In 2016, he went to Seoul National University to participate in the SCSP(Seoul Case Study Program). In 2017, he entered the School of Public Affairs, Zhejiang University, majoring in Land Resource Management. In May 2018, he participated in the Inter-School Inter-American Symposium (IUSAM), chaired by Professor Haoying Han. In November 2018, he participated in Food Market Planning and Design Workshop held by Zhejiang University and Chinese Culture University. He has participated in the research on Spatial Distribution of Power Facilities Based on Urban and Rural Planning in Zhejiang Province (2018) and the study of Jincheng's characteristic small town model(2017).
